Man Make Music Carnival Special w/ Rustie, Jackmaster & more @ Rhythm Factory This Friday 22/08/08

On August the 22nd 2008 Man Make Music return for their annual carnival party at the Rhythm Factory. Last year’s event on the same weekend proved to be highlight of the summer with Mala, Soul Jazz & Trevor Loveys all blessing the decks and all bringing the house down. This time round we bring two equally worthy artists from the bass community Rustie and Jackmaster.
Rustie and Jackmaster have emerged in recent months as two of the UK’s most exciting talents on the underground dance music scene. Rustie’s crunked-up, synth-driven and slightly demented take on dubstep has earned him fans across Europe complimenting Jackmaster’s speaker-busting ghettofied selections of b’more, 80s and hip hop. Rustie has remixed for Alex Smoke of late and had released on Kode 9’s lauded Hyperdub imprint this year. Collectively the two of them have caned some of the biggest and best parties of the summer including prime-slots at Sonar and Fabric. Support comes from grime crew and Man Make Music favourites Scandalous Unlimited as well as MMM’s DJ Sketchy, Zaz and Another Amit.

Our boy Another Amit has put together a quick dubstep minimix consisting mainly of hyperdub and Martyn bits to get you in the mood- download it here
